Doing a trial is a great idea. This way I can get an understanding for what type of look you’re going for, and you can get a feel for my application. It’s fun to sit and discuss different options, and man there are MANY!!!! I really like to take the time listen to you while offering some of my suggestions. Whether it’s two different eye looks, or a couple of shades on the lips, I want you to feel comfortable and confident for your big day!
When arriving to your trial, it is helpful to have a few ideas in mind. Even though I may have a few suggestions, it’s nice to start on the same page. Comb through magazines, Instagram, or Pinterest! Even if its pictures of what you DON’T LIKE, at least I’ll know! Then I will be able to apply the look according to what suits your features.
Also, bring in pictures of your wedding gown and bridesmaids dresses. It is nice to coordinate your look with the other colors that will be surrounding you on that day.
Your lipstick is the only part of the application that might fade during the day due to your first kiss, drinking, and eating. So, I ask Bride’s to either purchase the lipstick we choose during trial, or if you have a lip color you love, than bring it with you for your trial. If it works with the look we are going for, than I will be sure to use it. Same goes for your bridal party. It’s nice to have it to reapply for all of your pictures throughout the day.
Prior to your wedding day, the best way to insure flawless makeup is to take care of your skin. To help prepare, receiving regular facials at least 6 months prior, will help to alleviate dehydration, irritation, or diffused redness. Besides that it is super relaxing, the best makeup is applied on healthy skin.
Obviously I have my own personal preferred vendor list. Need someone?? Just ask!! After being in the business for 14 years, I have been in touch with many resources and would love to put you in touch with some fantastic vendors!
